Just wondering if anyone knows any good hosts. I just want a bit of space to mess about with.
So anything cheap with php, MySQL and all that sorta stuff.

Looking at Hosting-unlimited basic package, £20 a year anyone know if their good?

    Cheers

Ediit: I'm in the wrong place me thinks? sorry.

Right now I'm using Bizarre-Host. I pay $3USD/month (£1.64) for 500MB webspace, 5GB bandwidth, CPanel, php, unlimited mysql databases, unlimited pop email, unlimited subdomains, unlimited ftp accounts, etc. This was a special deal he set up for me after I visited HostHideout and posted in the request section. I posted my requirements (webspace, bandwidth, etc) and got about a dozen offers.

yeah your best bet is hosthideout.com

someone on there will offer you anything you want / need.

Be aware though there are some losers on there who oversell there ass's off have worse support than a very bad support company.

Or just look at my sig ;) hehe

I've used http://trashthesystem.co.uk/ in the past and have found them to be excellent. Note, that at the moment they aren't accepting any new sign-ups.

hmmm, id be sceptical about free hosts, because even if they are advertised as being like ones you pay for... with no ads etc, there still in essence free, and thus you have no control, really over the site! Id be much more comfortable paying, even if its a little because it puts you in a commanding position!

sorry bogomip, did i miss something???

EDIT: ah i see what you mean now. actually most of the stuff in that thread is paid for stuff. Certainly the host i suggested has great prices and total control plus great stats as well.

I use FuitadNET Hosting. Great company, and better prices too! You can get a simple plan for as little as $5usd a month with 3gigs space and 25gigs bandwidth.

Plus, you can pick cPanel or Ensim for your control panels, with is nice because everyone has there own personal preference :thumb:

Support kicks ass too, the (few) problems i've had have been resolved VERY quickly, and if you dont want to bother opening a support ticket they have an IRC host and theres always a few people in there.

Oh yeah, and each server (box) is dual 2.4ghz Xeons with 2 gigs ram each and then fully-redundant raid arays, nice stuff  (btw, they have ~25 cpanel boxes and ~15 ensim boxes)

Its got simmilar package packages to Hosting-unlimited but not as much space. (see the intermediate package)

Might get somthing with them soon.
