Just Stay away from the Microsoft line of combat flight sims, they never ran well/fast no matter how fast of a computer you have. I second IL2 as its a great game. Yep. CFS3 is a very good game, and very moddable with tons of stuff out there to improve it. Aside from that, I really enjoyed Lockon: Modern Air Combat. It looks nice and has a really good selection of aircraft to play with. Be warned though as I personally thought it gave you a fairly steep learning curve.
are these flight sims that u have to be a certified pilot to use fun pickup and dog fight kinda games? ive been looking fomr some fun ones recently but sim implys thousands of pages of manual and real flight procedure to me so im alil lost
I always enjoyed Lock on, and Falcon 4.0: Allied Force wasn't too bad either. But, unless you're seasoned at sims, you won't be able to just pick these up and play. IL2 is great to just pick up and play.
Lock On was a good, but utterly monstrous game to learn - only for those with loads of spare time. I love IL2:Forgotten Battles, my only gripe is that the BF-109F to BF-109K's have a weird crosshair bug that I can't get rid of...
