    Combat Flight Simulator 3
FirePower for Microsoft Combat Flight Simulator 3 - the exapnsion for the game above

Combat Flight Simulator: WWII Europe Series - very good game for WWII
These are all pretty good games and have upper echelon points and ratings so they're an easy choice...

Yep. CFS3 is a very good game, and very moddable with tons of stuff out there to improve it.

Aside from that, I really enjoyed Lockon: Modern Air Combat. It looks nice and has a really good selection of aircraft to play with. Be warned though as I personally thought it gave you a fairly steep learning curve.

I always enjoyed Lock on, and Falcon 4.0: Allied Force wasn't too bad either. But, unless you're seasoned at sims, you won't be able to just pick these up and play. IL2 is great to just pick up and play.

Lock On was a good, but utterly monstrous game to learn - only for those with loads of spare time.

I love IL2:Forgotten Battles, my only gripe is that the BF-109F to BF-109K's have a weird crosshair bug that I can't get rid of... :waah:

Shift F1 should move the view so that you look down the crosshair.
