Managed to pick up a G4 12" 867Mhz, 640MB RAM, Tiger, 60GB HDD etc for £497. Bargain? Just won the auction a while ago.

I used to have an ibook 1.2Ghz which ran Tiger perfectly. How will the powerbook run tiger you think?

Would you reckon that the PB will have wifi too?

    Cheers.

With those specs, it should run Tiger just fine. I don't know if it will have WiFi too, though.

Probably no wifi. As it wasn't standard on that model at that time. If it had the wifi as an option, they would have mentioned it in the auction.

Ram and HD are good, but CPU seems a bit slow. A brand new 1,2Ghz 12" iBook costs only 699£. So in conclusion, I think 497£ is a bit expensive. For just 200£, u can get a brand new appliance, with a faster CPU and a warranty.

    Good luck,
    L

PS: It will run tiger, but a 1+ Ghz processor is preferably.
