Thought I'd pop this in here.

Anyone know a good electronics website that does small orders of parts for good prices? I use Farnell, but looking for items can be a pain at times :( Something like Maplins, but better prices and a slightly larger selection...

Rapid are good for small quantaties, as opposed to RS and Farnell which are good for bulk orders :)

IC holder, IC socket are good search terms. There are a few different types. A common one like a mobo BIOS chip sits in is a 'DIL holder' ('DIL socket'). Dual In-Line.

Yeh, found it :) For some reason I always get it confused with DIP sockets... I honestly don't know why :p

With all of them you'll find the paper catalogues much easier to use than the web sites - I'd include a set with your first order.
