once again i seek advice.....got a generic full tower at the mo and im looking at getting a new one to mod and do cool stuff with (wasnt sure wether this need to go into the mod section, didnt mean to hurt anyones feelings:cool: )....was looking at aopen hx08 and the inwin 500, but am open to any suggestions of full tower, with plenty a space, nice to mod, not to expensive, and pretty simple looking as i dont like all the fancy plastic bits hangin off.....

cheers for all your wise words....

well, i have a juno p6, and although its a good case, its a bitch to mod due to the plastic surrounding all the metal.

personally if i had the choice of a full tower again i'd have a Chieftek Dragon Full tower, much better for the money :)

HX08 is a nice case, but a bit thin which makes your drivebays cramped next to your motherboard. You know what I'm gonna suggest...http://www.bit-tech.net/review/57/ <- Cheiftech Dragon - available pretty darned cheap from Overclock. Now I've finished exams, and ALMOST finished my metnal nut work week, I should get the first modding article up :)

I have both a cheiftec Dragon mid-tower and an HX08 full tower. The HX08 isn't a great case for modding, as there isn't space for outlet fans bigger than 60mm on the back panel. The chieftec isn't a great case for modding, because it's already got most of what it needs, and the paint and plastic (on my blue one anyway) are very soft, making them hard to work with and keep neat. Also, the metal the dragon is made from is so thick/solid you're going to have a hell of a time working with it.

main problem with the chieftech dragon for me would be that i got a livedrive, with a permanent optical connection to my dobly 5.1amp and the dragon has a door in front of the 5.5inch bays....wat to do??

Why, buy the version of the Dragon that doesnt come with a door! :D Doesnt look as nice IMHO but it'll be ideal for your use, as you can keep that Livedrive and the digital out.
Hehe me and Freddy have converted RTT into liking the Dragons :D

one problem, i was gonna put a nice fat 120mm fan in the front as an intake with a nice little grill in front of it,which for obvious reasons wont work with the dragon.....guess im outta ideas now....

Why bother? The full tower dragon has 3 80mm fans down the front panel. Get three mechatronics in there, and you've got more airflow than a 120mm, and better spread too.

I have a Black dragon and I totally love it!! But am I the only person who has a different bezel to the ones shown in the pics on the web?? The grill on the front of the case slopes inwards and ends near the bottom of the door leaving about a 4inch gap which looks perfect for a 60mm blowholw BTW. :D

Other than the bezel, they're the same.

I prefer the standard version personally. I think it just looks cleaner, and a bit less standard computerish. The door flows more seamlessly with the rest of the front on the standard one.

They kick ass whichever bezel they have on them. Esp. with my bloo glow baybus....gonna add some more blue LEDs soon....MWHAHAHA

So what it the most popular colour for the dragon.

I like the blue one, my wife likes the silver one and Josh thinks it should be sprayed blue, yellow and pink like his.
