    okay,

Ive bagged me an old pentium mmx of some description. Its an old hp one, but I was thinking this will be suitable for playing mp3's on. I dont think it'll manage divx/dvd's which is a shame.

As this pc is not power mad, it doesnt need a lot of fans. In fact I reckon I could replace the cpu cooler with a decent passive cooler.

Can anyone recomend a decent looking hi-fi style case or one that could be reasonably modded into a hi-fi style case.

Only requisite is for it to be in black or easily painted.

Well, theres that silent PC thing which I think would be perfect... except that it is silver and it will be tough to paint with the heatsinky fins on the sides. Something like that could work...

This is (IMO) the best looking HTPC cases out there:
    AHANIX
    The 3-series:
    3 SERIES
    Custom made aluminium slim-line boxes:
    CUSTOM BUILT BOXES
    Some more cases on here:
    EXOTIC PC
And smaller pc's, maybe some of the cases would inspire you:
    MINI ITX

    Hope that helps...

This probably a little bland for what you are looking for, but would surely fit into a home entertainment center without being obtrusive casetronic and the price is not terribly steep, $125 -135 dollars Canadian. And it has a built in power supply IIRC.

    Thanks for those choice cases.

Im looking at the Ahanix D.Vine 3 Series or that casetronic case depending which I can find in the UK.

I like the casetronic because it is small but will require some modding to style it for my living room.

D.Vine case is already there but looks like a big lump just like my amp so will blend right in.
