I know of THIS one from scan but are there any others? There doesn't seem to be very many of them about.

I'm thinking of a mini-itx build with sandy bridge next year with something like a 6870. I worked out on the PSU calculator thingy based on a 4 core i5 it said maximum power draw would be 278W so 350W is a bit tight (or more than I want to be).

The only ones I can find on google are some tit **** bollack cheap crap Colours IT ones for like 2p. :wallbash:

    Thanks.

    Hello ,
I know Silverstone have a 450w psu ( ST45SF ) and scan do list it , However its a Pre Order item , so hopefully thery might be in stock when your planning your build .
On a further note depending on your choice of case you might not need a sfx psu , as i am working on a Lian-Li PC-Q11 which uses a full sized psu which ment i was able to put my budget toward other areas .

    Thankyou Very Much

Nice thanks I must of missed it I though I had seen it before on scan. I think I'm going to be making a custom shuttle case, but who knows I will most prob be bored of the idea in ten mins!

EDIT - Just had another look they don't have it listed? I wonder why.

EDIT AGAIN - They don't have it under micro atx/fanless just in the 420W - 500W catergory.

The PSU-formfactor you're looking for is "SFX" actually, so you might look it up in Google to get more results.

However, there's not alot of SFX PSUs with more then 300 Watts and the Silverstone ST45SF might actually be the only choice currently matching your requirements.

The cheaper option would be a SFF-case that allows the use of a standard ATX PSU, like the ones from LianLi for example.

I believe that Be Quiet 350W got some good reviews. I wanted to use one but didn't have the cash at the time. If i ever need a matx psu, then it'll be that one for sure.

if you're doing a scratch build, you might look at 1u server psu if you're looking for small. they're about the size of an optical. only big drawback is they always have 40mm whining fans in them.

You could also look at getting a Shuttle PSU.

I have had my eyes on the Athena 550w SFX for a while, but have yet to find an excuse to buy one.

    That's not a SFX-PSU! It's a shortened ATX-PSU...

    standard SFX = 100mm width x 64mm height x 125mm depth
    standard ATX = 150mm width x 86mm height x 140mm depth
    standard 1U = 100mm width x 41mm height x 235mm depth

The bolded parts are the mountings and the interesting ones. The depth may vary.
