So. I have a 4K screen now. It's awesome. However, an El cheapo mouse that fits my spadelike hands, no longer cuts the mustard. Mouse acceleration in the OS (Mint 21.3) is icky. I need something that can keep up, but it has to fit my hand (RSI, Carpal Tunnel).
El Cheapo is a Blackweb thing. Key being is you can screw the palm rest out to adjust fit, with most mice I end up having my hand in a claw to hold it.

Current cheapy mouse, I'm in the UK not Canada.

    Any Suggestions? All input appreciated.

No problem paying, as long as it fits my hand. Will see if I can find one to try.

Ended up with a G502 Hero. Local shop was surprisingly happy to let me try it in my hand.

Well, if you don't ask... Of all people, I should have seen that innuendo looming large...

I have a logitech g502 x plus wireless mouse and have a 32" 4k oled and it's smooth as butter.

I would have suggested looking at Mad Catz R.A.T. mice. They're the originators of the gundam-esque adjustable mice. I had a rat7 for a long time and loved it.

But do bear in mind that Mad Catz went bankrupt in 2017, and the current Mad Catz has no relation to the original bar having acquired the name.

I'm not saying the current Mad Catz products are no good, I'm just saying don't judge them based on pre-2017 experiences of original Mad Catz products.

I knew they went bankrupt, I had in my head the IP had been bought by Kingston/hyperx or Logitech, either or which I'd trust the quality of. Although hyper x is now it's own entity too. Now I not sure :worried:

Sidebar- have Logitech given up on trying to be called just "logi" yet?

Nope, it's a rinky-dink Chinese manufacturer out of Kowloon, which launched in 2018 as "Mad Catz Global Limited." It picked up the trademarks, but no IP - so there's no tech transfer from the original Mad Catz to the new one, it's purely nostalgic branding slapped on new products.

I think the sequence was Mad Catz -> Saitek -> Logitech ?

Yeah, Mad Catz bought Saitek in 2007 then sold it for less than half what they'd paid to Logitech in 2016 in an effort to stave off bankruptcy.

And then, Logitech being Logitech, it threw the brand away and relabelled everything as "Logi G" instead. $13m well spent(!)

Mad Catz Global Limited, though, didn't get any Saitek stuff, as it'd already been sold when Mad Catz proper went under.

The Mad Catz R.A.T.s might be comfortable (might) but by GOD are they hideous.
