Do any of you guys know a good shuttle barebone or bundle(with hardware) that is good for buisnesses? My dad has a gas station and wants a computer for inventory and accounting. Which one is the best at it and coolest? Also, you can recommend hardware too
You'll just need an athlon xp based one, 512mb pc3200, and an 80 gig hdd, with a cd or dvdwriter for making accounting backups. Other than that, performance doesnt matter for those purposes, pick one on looks. If/When I build my 2nd pc, (mythtv box) it'll be based around one of these or one of these: AOpen EZ18-BK XC Cube - Shining Black (FS-003-AO) from here As for where to buy in the US, I cant help. <cough> newegg </cough>
If its just for business then any Shuttle would be fine - Just dont buy the Prescott P4 to go in one if you want it to run cool. Budget - SN41G2 + XP2500 Barton, 512M PC2700, 80G+ hdd, Silver CDRW (for backups), XP-home OEM, 15" TFT (use onboard video). Shuttle Ltd edition if you want to go P4 as you get loadsa goodies with it. Coolness - Shuttle SN85G4 + A64-XP3000, 512M PC3200, 80G+ hdd, Black cdrw (for backups), XP-home OEM, AGP8* videocard, 17" TFT.
