Hey, I have BF2, BF2142, UT2004. But none of them seem to satisfy my erge to headshot people. I've seen sniper elite and tbh the war theme is boring me now. Anyone any ideas?
Oddly I like Sin episodes for headshots, using the pistol. Very accurate, though no scope, and the heads just go down really satisfyingly, physics grabbing the body as the head blows up. Also, No One Lives Forever, 1 and 2 have some good stealth missions, sniping, sniping levels and imaginative gameplay. Plus you can grab them from the bargain bin in any games shop.
MOHAA: Allied Assault was always my favourite sniping game, but as you're bored with the war theme, that rules that out. CS:S is a good one for sniping, as long as you don't expect uber-accurateness, it can be very fun indeed. Instagib on UT was awesome, although it wouldn't really satisfy my sniping urges. The sniping on Splinter Cell: Double Agent was good, although it was never properly used, so unless you just like shooting at targets in a training level, I'd leave that well alone. Couse, there's always console games - how about Silent Scope? I'm sure there was a PSG1-controller brought out for that, and that's a fantastic game.
Ah good old Silent Scope. I shudder to think how much I spent on that in the arcade. On the plus side I did win quite a bit of money
UT99 sniper lowg non zp and sniper matrix were the best mods i have ever played and i doubt they will ever be detroned
CSS for AWP whoring but that gets boring quick, anyone can awp, scouting is considerably harder but then CSS is full of ****s IMO, bf2142/bf2 isn't the best as hit recognition is very bad, e.g; head shot = dust of head and the player is still alive... I'd go for UT99 as said above, prehaps you should just jion the army and snipe for real? J/k, please dont kill me
That rules as some spawn points are near ammo points. Call of duty (2) is good for some good sniper matchers, especially on the Russian levels.
What about or anyone played ARMA: Armed Assault? EDIT: Also if you have tried it, is it more stable than the demo? I can't get passed the menu
but in COD2 anyone good with a regular rifle will be just as efficient as a decent sniper. However some players can master the sniper at a level i just dont understand ! A player in my clan really do whatever he wants with the sniper, it'S always impressive to see
MOHAA is by far my favorite, even though it's almost ancient... On that note, do many people still play it online? Just about to finish up building a new rig, and I'd like to go buy a copy if people are still playing
Im a bit surprised that no one has offered up any of the hitman series. Especially Bloodmoney and that sniper rifle is sweet once you upgrade it. And the older hitman games can be picked up in bargin bins for next to nothing.
Agreed, the sniping is great unless you want to snipe actual people. As in on the internet, not real actual people
