Funny - Turner and Hooch, Punchline (Early Tom Hanks stuff rocks) Airplane, Naked Gun, Police Academy, Ace Ventura, Liar Liar, Bruce Almighty (can you tell I like Jim Carrey too?)

Action - Shoot 'Em Up is awesome, Sin City, 300, Law Abiding Citizen (although that one requires at least a little brain activity) and +1s for Equilibrium, Expendibles, A Team and Con Air.

Also, not really either genre (ish) but Rocky is alway a giggle when you want veg out.

    Desperado
Once upon a time in Mexico
    Machete
    Hobo with a Shotgun
Hot Fuzz (for some comic relief between all these "serious" films)
    Mortal Combat
    Street Fighter
    On Deadly Ground
    Under Siege
    Under Siege 2
Any Bond Flick (some good, some bad, all cheap thrills Try to avoid the downer end of "Her Majesty's Secret Service", though - i think that's the one)
The old Batman movies (though the new ones aren't bad either)
    Dirty Harry
    Waterworld

The list can go on endlessly

I'd agree with Equilibrium, Con Air, Expendables, A Team, The Losers, all easy to watch action films (with Equilibrium being the best of the bunch in my opinion)

    Pulp Fiction

I don't know why you've asked for brain dead flicks btw... all movies = brain dead entertainment! I can't think of one movie that I had to re-watch or have someone explain the plot to me or anything like that  Nothing in life is easier than sitting on your a$$ and watching a movie :hehe:

Oh, and if i'm watching a movie, and I hear anyone say some crap like "omg that was so predictable" or "that violates newton's third law!" etc, they'd have something thrown at them, even if the only object available is one of my shoes.

Taken. One of the few brainless movies that actually isn't too bad/painfully cliched. Plenty of shooting and beating, but also watchable.

Unknown is pretty brainless. It's almost exactly a carbon copy of Taken, but with less sense.

The entire Van Damme collection boarders on tragic and hilariously tragic, I find the collection great for pissing away hours upon hours.

Agreed. TimeCop was a decent watch but mostly because the other actors carried it for him. Even Street Fighter is fun to watch for the same reason. I hated the movie when I was younger but sat through it again not long ago and realize Raul Julia was absolutely brilliant.
