Has to be Expendables, best film for years. Anyone mentioned Rambo yet?

    Highlander
    Bullitt
    Shaker Run
    Fast and Furious lot
    Smokey and the bandit

And the greatest movie ever - Plan 9 from Outer Space

I'd completely forgotten some of the classic no-brainers:

Any of the Resident Evil films
Evil Dead 3: Army of Darkness
    Undercover Brother
    American Werewolf in London
    Land of the Dead
    Kung Fu Hustle
    Shaolin Soccer

The last two are subtitled but TBH they speak for themselves once you start watching them. Low budget, Hong Kong cinema at its best :D

    Running man - love it
Robocop - I'd buy that for a dollar

Total Recall - my favourite movie ever also has one of my favourite movie quotes ever "See you at the party Richter"

    Oh, beat me to it!

Also, Scott Pilgrim is pretty brainless, fun and easy-watching. It's not very violent action, but it is action.

    Days of Thunder
Top Gun (Tom Cruise's last 2 good films)
The Count of Monte Cristo (Guy Pearce version)
Macgruber (you can't get more brain dead than this)
    TRON: Legacy
    Total Recall
    The Bourne [Identity/Supremacy/Ultimatum]
    Robocop
    Kill Bill Vol.1 + 2.
    Ghost Rider
    The Boondock Saints
Vantage Point (although this one engages your brain)

If you can find it: Undead. It's an Australian low (near zero) budget zombie film. Awesome stuff.

Scott Pilgrim was a cool action movie  A few even more outrageous action scenes would have been better, but it's still good as is.

Dont know if it´s been posted yet, but if you want a brain dead film, the obvious choice should be just that

7.0 score and director is also Peter Jackson

Really funny movie and has the best priest in the world with an australian accent !

    Also worth a whirl:
Lesbian Vamipre killers (also known as "Vampire killers" in some parts of the world where they don't want to write "Lesbian" onto the box). Good fun, not particuarly violent, but makes up for it in boobies...
