    Isn't it funny that they have all these fancy shmancy presentations to up sell their products way before its reasonably available... Just get it out there! If its faster, don't worry, we'll buy it. Gimme Gimme. :D

    Cant wait to see this kind of thing become common place, should be interesting to see if all of the new technologies succeed. But at first its gonna be far too expensive for the common user :waah:

    These folks http://www.inphase-tech.com/technology/ ? As far as I know holographic storage has been used for a decade now to apply for research grants. Of course the promised delivery date was always "next year". Could it works out this time? The problem I see is that it will be hard to write a block as small as a GB because of alignment problems. Its more of a all-or-nothing storage device. Good for backup, but useless as HD replacement.
