Anyonev go this year? If so what did ou think of it - I thought it was pretty good - day in the sun (Friday), plenty of cars and fast things whopping round. Anywho what I really came to give you - pics! just a few to start with as I've got to go out with the missus for a bit, but i'll share more with you tonight if your interested...
The Arrows flew over my work building, just as i was on my tea break, awesome display from where i was sitting. Pictures look good andy, maybe next year i might get to go. Sam
I've got 650 odd photos to upload from Saturday as well From all around the paddocks, and action shots from Paddock 2 stand, and from the exit of Molecome
Was supposed to go today but decided against it due to the cost of the tickets and the fact I'm saving up hard for travelling next year. Went in 2006 though. Did they have they new Bugatti there?
Nice. Would have been sweet to go this year, but I went to see the 24hr at Le Mans instead (which was awesome). More pics please!
Looks like it was great this year, you got some awesome photos! Dad and I talked briefly about going over but I am in no position financially to be travelling at the moment, and I just left him and Mum to the airport for a hol in Rome, so their holiday quota is full Maybe I'll get to over next year. I hopefully won't have to worry about the financial responsibility of university fees by Summer 2010 and I should be well into a years university placement which means 12-14 months fully paid professional work for someone other than myself
Mankz bud, Is the silver Auto Union the old one or something new? I thought the old one was in a museum somewhere after being restored. john
wow now that we don't have a grand prix here anymore they could easily do this kind of event on the Gilles Villeneuve Circuit. That would be amazing
@mankz Not Easy Rider. Engine is wrong - Peter Fonda's was an older panhead and the transmission and drive are wrong. More of a modern update of a classic. john
Its built from the original parts, but some new bits... I've actually got some pics of Pete riding it.
That's cool. One of the original movie bikes: nostalgia is setting in again. Sigh. That's what a panhead engine looks like. The rocker arm covers on top looked like little dish pans. Panhead. From oldest V twins: Flathead - Like the UL model had the valves in the cylinders not the head. In cars I think L-Head Knuckle Head - because the cam adjustment covers look like knuckles when you make a fist Pan Head Shovel Head EVO the new ones john
Finished uploading! If you want the original of any of them, just ask... Album HERE: http://s161.photobucket.com/albums/t233/AJManktelow/FOS09/
