In my forum there has been 1 guest in there 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. So i got the IP and traced it and it is the googlebot? Is it stuck on my forum or what? Some times there will be 6 of that IP and then other times there will be only one? Here is a screen shot: -Zach
Do you display google ads on your forum? That would account for the 1x 24/7 google IP. It's normal for there to be multiple instances of googlebot on your site. Just the other day there were ~300 google IPs indexing these forums

Only 1 guest on atm, so it might well have gone Have had ~ 13,000 hits from googlebot this month, no idea what the hell was indexed tbh :| <edit> 16,000 now :| </edit>
talking of googlebot i had to ban it from indexing my server cos it kept pillaging my bandwidth and seen as im only on broadband thats not a lot
Theres a way to stop google from indexing your pages...without banning it that is...Im sure..errr google would have the answer
