News Google Chrome tops 160 million users

Google has announced that its Chrome browser now has 160 million users worldwide.

Even I've moved from Firefox to Chrome. I still love Firefox, it's brought a lot to the browser world, but it seems to be falling back compared to Chrome. I guess the Google Power House is hard to beat, whatever the area.

using firefox on ubuntu but chrome on win7. feel sorry for opera as they deserve much more market share for the innovation they usually bring.

 

I wonder if they are counting me as a user even though I only use it once a week at the most.

I've been using Chrome for about two years now and love it. It always seems to be improving as well - I used to have problems with PDFs but not any more!

 

I'm on Opera at work and Firefox alphas at home. I sometimes have to use IE due to our archaic proxy server and some of the terrible websites I'm forced to visit at work.

 

I switched from FF to Chrome about a year ago mainly due to FF become so slow and sluggish.

Immediately loved the "magic bar" (or whatever its called) and the ability to drag and drop tabs around.

Now Chrome seems to be the only browser actually bringing anything new to the scene, with the other browser trying to catch up, especially in terms of UI.

 

PS, according to StatsCounter, Chrome has almost overtaken Firefox in the UK!

 

Always used Opera myself, the only reason I haven't swapped to Chrome is that Opera hasn't done anythign stupid... yet. I have to admit that I like Chrome's simplistic UI, very refreshing.

 

Switched from Firefox to chrome a while ago, and absolutely love it, so much quicker than FF, looks nicer too. Lack of addons bothered me at first, but they now have adblock and stumble for Chrome, so that's the main ones sorted

 

No wonder, firefox 4 sucks.

 

I've always been the kind of person who likes my PC stripped back with nothing superfluous slowing it down, so from my point of view Chrome fits the bill perfectly. I used to use IE until Chrome came along and I jumped over as soon as I played with it. Never been convinced by FF, seems slow even ran off an SSD

but i am a HUGE Firefox user, been using it since 1.5. also use Chrome as secondary incognito browser since FF's private mode is frankly crap. in fact, Chrome only launches in incognito for me (with help of command line switch).

I see there is a Chrome version. There is also Linkclump.
