all browsers have security flaws from time to time, difference is mozilla, google, opera, etc actually fix it and roll out a patch asap, unlike ms who waits until the next 2nd tuesday... per your link the vulnerabilities were reported the 13th, patched on the 14th. sounds pretty good to me. in the end nothing is 100% secure, all you can do is use the best option from what is available.
bearing in mind, when microsoft make fixes, they have to make sure the whole operating system isn't affected by the patch, because of shared resources, google, are only fixing 1 program
Is there an add-on to Chrome that removes LSO objects/super cookies (like Flash cookies) in the same way that BetterPrivacy does with FireFox?
Exactly. You can even use the search function on that site to see flaws that other browsers have at any given time. I don't see why flaws in Chrome are worth mentioning over any of the others, apart from the fact they are merely the most recent.
i know, i don't know why i mentioned it, maybe something stuck in my mind about what someone said the other day. i think i was having a blond moment. (or maybe a senile moment)
I love Chrome too much to give it up! IE and FF seem too bloated now and I haven't given others a go as they don't seem to support as much stuff as Chrome/IE/FF.
I get why you mentioned it Rich, I too remember seeing somewhere a point made by someone that chrome was a more secure option, but it is a lot more appealing a browser than others for the reasons stated by Pete, they are quite bloated and sluggish. And as people have said, when it comes to security they all have problems.
no i wasn't trolling. just a lapse in judgement me thinks, but, hey, now you all know that chrome is no more secure than any other browser.
Google Hater! LOL I use Chrome and keep it patched and there are no problems with. It is the only browser I have stuck with.
