Well, Adam didn't get to be a CTO with his english skills, that's for sure.
Surely it's way too late in the day to try and compete with Facebook now. It seems like every moron I've encountered in life has got it (and attempted to add me). Im pretty sure they'll blindly oppose change.
something i have been meaning to do for a while is cancel my facebook page but i use it so little i have no need to cancel it
I don't remember anything called 'Buzz'. I do remember Wave though and a group of people telling me how much more awesome it was than MSN...
Bad idea google.
It's like facebook trying to bring out a search engine to compete with google.
It feels a little bit like Nike deciding they want to take on Coca Cola with the reasoning being nothing more than 'why not'? I was going to be buying shares in Google but I think I will hold off now.
at least "Google Me" is a good name, seeing as "to google" is virtually an accepted verb these days
Oh God, if there's one thing the world doesn't need it's more 'social networking' websites.
I quite like the idea of having my email and social networking in the same place. I use google reader, gmail, google calendar and google docs already so itll be nice to see how they all interact with each other.
well, if enough people goes on this, Google Latitude might actually be worth using.
Pretty sure MySpace was a bit like facebook a few years ago - look how that changed. It's like a wasteground of the internet these days...
Because this will do any thing to Google's share price
how is this new news? or even a new rumor? this has been floating around the net for almost a year now...
If it has better privacy and puts the users personal information first than it has a real chance to put facebook out of business.
well I don't really do that much "social networking" but facebook is extremely useful in a lot of ways. I reckon if google can make a decent one it'll be pretty cool. I love the cleanliness google always achieves and I hate how messy facebook is so I'm willing to give it a go when it comes out.
Hardly a surprise, Google tend to just punch out multiple tools in one market until they get it right, Buzz didn't work, no-ones really figured out how to use wave properly so let them try again with something else.
People flick between which social network site is 'in' like there's no tomorrow.
MySpace, LinkedIn, Bebo, Netlog, Windows Live Spaces - remember those?
Google would smash facebook in to the ground.
As news goes, this is pretty dull. It's well known Google is trying to take over the world. You could tell me they were running for government and I wouldn't even blink.
Separate names with a comma.
