Sms.ac is an entirely different service. Remember Google is a search engine, they provide information. That's what this sms service does too only from your mobile instead of from the web. Edit: I noticed Google SMS before but never really looked into it. Now I can't wait to try it out. Damn I love Google so much; they have the best ideas ever.
I agree thats pritty clever but would you actually use it? i haye texting as it is so i avoid it as much as can just takes so damn long and you not even sure if they get it.the amount that arrive 5 hours later useually at 3am! good if your really stuck though.
I'd rather keep well away from sms.ac, they have a terrible reputation for being spammers/scammers. People are being spammed AND ripped off. No way to run a company.
I used it last night, (tho i might have been drunk ) A friend wanted to know his waight in stones, he's 74kg. so i, remembering that the number was 6goog (64664), sent "74kg in stone" and it replied in a couple of minutes "calculator by google: 74 kilograms = 11.6530053 stone" I have to say i was impressed. another thing google is great at edit: just seen the link to pricing, FREE, horay! i was abit worried that in my drunken-ness i might have added £5 or somthing ridicoulous to my phone bill.
Just text "help" to 6goog for the basic usage. Nothing else to remember! I got replies in less than a minute. - Roll on the next pub quiz!
What are you txtin from? . Very rarely do txts i send take more than 5mins to arrive! And as to it takes ages, again "what are you txtin from? " I can send a txt in under a minite easy. Death
The reception around were i live is pretty weak, pehaps i'm just a bit biased because of this fact, plus i think i'm to lazy, i'd rater just call them.
