Linux Google Video Audio=No Sound:S

getting no sound from google video?
any codec i need for this?

what sound mixer are you using (alsa, oss and/or without gstreamer, arts, esd, jack)

 

dunno all i know is ubuntu with a asus a7n8x-x mobo with default settings for its drivers...

 

if you have kde, use the comamnd ctrl+escape to see what prosess are running and look for arts or an other one

 

I believe, Ubuntu uses Gnome; Kubuntu uses KDE.

Correct me if I'm wrong though

 

EDIT: fixed.
just had to add "ln -s /tmp/.esd-1000 /tmp/.esd" to your session startup (preferences/sessions/startup programs)
but this is for me it might work for anyone having same problem but I am not sure as I installed wmv codecs and various divx etc codecs...
hope it can help someone with the same problem for future reference though.
