I went and saw dave gorman in cheltenham on tuesday and he told us about his googlewhacking adventure. It was absolutely brilliant, I laughed so hard! and of course I had to do some googlewhacking when I got back. the strangest one I found was squiffy lovejoy. So what strange and wonderful googlewhacks can the good people of bit-tech find?? ooh and i got a "dave whacked my google" badge as well!! EDIT: <-----1111 posts!!!!
No, it is where there is only one result. both words must be on dictionary.com, and the page cannot be a wordlist. If you google then you will find out more. Its a really addictive hobby.
I dont get it nimrod discoed - is that one? it comes up with one result so is that what your ment to do?
You have to whack google Use a search string of 2 dictionary words, and try to only get 1 result, it's getting more difficult now because the words people have found they go and post them on forums that get indexed by google, so when you try the words now you get the original result and the post on the forum
Ok bit of a stupid question but would it not be more of a challenge to get no results? Edit Mmm just had a think about that and no it probably wouldnt. Sorry!!
I seem to remember that. About half a year to a year ago i guess. Still, googlewhacking is fun //returns to depressed fubared hardware mood... start rigging a noose, gets even more suicidal when he realises he can't even rig up a noose... Damn you God for making me this way! :shakefist:
Always one to help out the community. PS - How about: pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis scintilla? It doesn't like the first word but Dictionary.com says something about it .
I always thought it was more fun to do 3 words for one result *shrug* Still kills a bit o' boredom though
