Got SPORE this morning on Pre-order but guess what. The servers are down / don't work. Looks like i wont be playing till tomorrow. EA FAIL!
What I think is a fail is that you can torrent the game already. I'm trying out this "pay for what you play" concept so I am going to buy it when i get back from work next Thursday. And this way I get to see reviews before I spend my money on it. Some player reviews that I have seen haven't been too good about some aspects of the game.
The local Best Buy where I live had it out on display already, so I got my copy. I thought the US release wasn't until the 7th.
Yeah it was available on monday on torrents shame. I refuse to play it without the online features though

already on Civ stage gone through the whole starting parts by force........ but all the creatures are made by Maxis, although are good, not as exciting as other player's creatures. going to finish this game tonight, and then wait for pre-order to arrive, download other user's creatures, and try to play by alliance. so if you got questions about gameplay, ask away
Pfft. I've had it for more than a week now Review tomorrow and it's a big'gun. Could be today, but we're honourable enough to stick to embargoes /grump
I find it lacking depth.. It's basically running around collecting stuff during the first 2 stages, then the next 5 are just either killing, allying, or buying out your "enemy." Meh. Guess after I travel to center of Galaxy it'll be Garbage bin.
I'll be waiting till next week for spore, free delivery from amazon takes a while, but then its free, so i cant complain, besides, the 27£ preorder price was too hard to ignore.
Yeah it's a little shallow and simplistic, but then it is merging lots of genres. Also means it's not too complicated for the kids to enjoy.
I'm just pissed at the 'Exclusive Embargo Options' and downright embargo breakers that really ruin things for those of us who are good enough to keep our word.
