    Hi all,

Could you please give me your thoughts / suggestions on my little GPU dilemma I'm having at the moment.

My situation is that I have been given a GTX 470

    http://www.pointofview-online.com/showroom.php?shop_mode=product_detail&product_id=148

And I am currently using a Gigabyte 460 SOC

    http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=3613#ov

So that has left me with a couple of options :-

    1. Stay with the 460 and sell the 470
    2. Use the 470 and sell the 460
    3. Sell both and buy something like a 560ti

    What are your thoughts ??:D

Sell both and buy a kipper released later this month. 560ti is not worth it unless u went for a 2gb version but I would just wait until kipper then sell both and see what u can buy.

I'd agree - sell one now and then another when something worth replacing the other with comes out. Even if you end up buying one of the AMDs currently on offer, the release of kepler may serve to push prices down a little.

Depends on what someone is willing to pay! I sold a 1GB Gigabyte 460 OC model for a reasonably cheap £80 some months ago and then saw a 768MB version go for a few pounds less...

You might get more on fleabay than forum marketplace but I prefer marketplace for selling now, way less hassle and there are some great buyers/sellers.

Kipper is what swims in feathers loop to 'aid cooling'..

    kipper aids heat dissipation.

I am disappointed to see the kipper cores are now weaker like the ATI ones. 1500 of the old nvidia cores would have been spectacular. 1500 kipper cores = 10% faster then ATI.

I think even with the cores being weaker, if the price isn't too high could be a good buy.

    ~80 for the 460
    ~100 for the 470
I'd keep the 470 and use that.
