I'll be getting it. I played all the top-down GTAs, then jumped to San Andreas, 4 & 5.

So it will be like 2 brand new old games for me, then a chance to relive a forgotten classic.

The PlayStation 2 had three Grand Theft Auto games. Grand Theft Auto 5 has had three PlayStations.

Edit: But I'll probably still get this!

I'm getting this for sure. I played every single GTA game from the very first one, including the British DLCs! But these three were and are my absolute favourites!

I hope they have kept all the original vice city music. I would probably buy that one if it came out on its own but not sure i would want to replay all 3 when there are so many other games out there to play.

Sadly I expect them to fall short on the music. For VC and San Andreas they signed a lot of 10 year licenses for the games, partly because they were cheaper and partly because they didn't anticipate digital stores very well. It's why loads of music got pulled off both games (don't know about 3) a few years ago. I hope Rockstar gets the wallet out to re-license the tracks, but I'm not holding my breath.

    Oh.

Well that's crap. As you say, let's hope they put their hands in their pockets, they can bloody well afford it...

Hmmm, I've started at with Vice City and San Andreas, not sure if "3" is worth it.

I was gonna replay GTA 3 soon... and I still will, but not with this. The PS2 games always looked cartoony but this is a bit much for me. Defintely doesn't suit GTA 3, and I'm not big on Liotta being fat now.

Is it as buggy as I've heard? Was looking forward to a new Switch game as I start commuting again after nearly 2 years WFH!

What a treat. 3 is my favourite GTA. Truest to the original GTA recipe, very little fluff, just motors, murder and mayhem.

Bloody Rockstar launcher been down for about 15 hours now!!
I wouldn't say they are optimised that well.
See my PC in the sig below and I was getting between 40-80 FPS with frame rates fluctuating wildly with all settings maxed.
And GPUS/CPU utilisation was always below 50%
And it doesn't look THAT much better than the originals.

Does not sound fantastic. I wonder if there's any driver conflicts with what it thinks it's running.

Maybe what put me off wasn't so much how cartoony it looks, but how it looks like a fan game. Like 'GTA SA completely remade in Unity!'

First Blizzard now Rockstar, it doesn't surprise me but it is impressive that companies with effectively infinite access to money fail so utterly by trying to cheap out. You would think they would put more care into re-releasing their most iconic works.

Also, even more music has been removed versus the originals, that's a no from me.
