No sound where I am so can't comment on the narration.
I wasn't particularly impressed with the gameplay footage in the video, it seemed a bit bland. It could have done with being longer and spending a little bit more time showing action, rather than flicking between people talking and walking around.

I liked the look of the mission where you abseil down the building with one guy, and then switch to control the sniper to cover him.

At 1:14, I wonder if the player will have a dog following them? If so, hopefully it does more than just follows and barks.

4:31, I hope we can buy properties around the city for a change. More likely, it's just a search for someone's address for a mission (similar to the pink car in GTA4)... would be nice to choose our homes though.

    Edit:
Just re-watched it on a big screen with sound.
It looked a bit better the second time around, though I would have enjoyed a bit more of the underwater footage and a bit more of a landscape tour.

DragunovHUN; I see what you mean about the narrator now, she has one of those terrible voices that you usually hear on a badly done shopping network only a bit more robotic sounding... they could have at least chosen someone with a less monotone voice.

Can't wait for this. Love the new stuff they are adding to the game.

The voice-over was clearly chosen to sound in the style of Red Dead Redemption pre-release vids without sounding like the same voice-over.

Game looks awesome though... why haven't I preordered this?... why haven't I booked that week off work?

Looks like Rockstar realised that GTA was getting a bit left behind and really putting out with V. Hope the graphics in that trailer are alpha though.

Aye? It's last gen consoles, what more are they capable of?

God knows the last GTA barely ran on either console.

It didn't bother me until she said 'leesure'.

The game looked a bit meh from that video and those old consoles are doing nothing to help in the looks department.

Does your character still take an hour to change direction?

I thought that the graphics looked great actually - can't see why people are saying otherwise. As long as I can wander around the city for hours without actually doing anything then I will be perfectly happy - I don't like it when a story gets in the way of a good open world game!

Ok, so that was a bit tongue in cheek - but what I love about the GTA games is that I can do the story in chunks. Normally I would spend a good few hours just pissing around doing nothing in particular and then I might do a mission and advance the story a bit.

The switching characters in mid heist seemed quite cool, but I will reserve my judgement on it as I would hate it if you were 'forced' to do it as part of a sequence, but would love it if you could place your people anywhere and switch between them. The whole helicopter/sniper/abseiling example looked scripted to me - which I don't like.

I have pre-ordered it anyway though as in general it looks right up my street as GTA games generally are!

As good as it looks to run on PS3 in that trailer I'll be holding out for PC/PS4 variant in the future, big open world games need the hardware.
