Let's hope they'll hold under pressure! TBF, I've never had any issues with COD or similar on launch day... and I would be quite annoyed if I did, I do pay for Xbox Live after all - unlike the free PSN!

 

i fully expect it to have crashed and burned by the time i get home, but if the servers are still working this could be fun. do i have to join the rockstar club thing for it?

 

Online is up and running on Xbox Live.

Well Rockstar have had 2 weeks to put extra servers up after getting the launch sales numbers, so hopefully its shouldn't be too bad.

There is also the time difference, a fair amount of the US players probably won't be online the evening so that might help.

 

Well, i'm online, but i'm guessing there are no other plays because first thing you do, is enter a race (i think) but it's still loading the session.

That means GTA Online is down.

It's been up and down all day. Luckily I got in and did that part before the rush happened.

ahh. dunno if i'll ever complete the game. i'm sorely tempted to just play the stockmarket and use the proceeds to fund my rampage addiction.

 

I find that construction site cop-based rampages tend to yield more ammo than they cost, so much so that since I did an hour of that on each character I've not had to buy assault rifle, shotgun, or pistol ammo since.

i tried late last night, servers weren't available, so i had a rampage and went to bed :/

 

is the garage problem fixed yet?

 

Hopefully, RS will swiftly clear up the bugs. After an hour of playing, my online missions fail as soon as I start them. It is bugging the hell out of me.

I found the repo missions pretty challenging, especially on normal (for some reason, I lack HP). I soloed a drug mission on Very hard which was difficult at first, although, I did find a way to skip the random npcs trying to shoot me by not obeying the GPS system. Previously I kept dying in a hollow camper van - apparently, npcs can shoot through the back of the van and take 80% of my hp?

 

Very happy with the online has turned out, when it works, it's tonnes of fun! I hear rumours of more server acquisitions and another title patch today that might decrease issues, let's hope they're true!

 

Yeah update for PS3 version is live, I have updated but have yet to try to get online. I have so much to do, with BF4 beta and the single player GTAV not to mention some other things. I need to sit down and play this.
