Booooo - I hate being told what to do in games

 

I think you can give a little leeway for script in a game of this magnitude IMO. It's not like you don't /won't get enough freedom. If it's to tell the story properly and not a re-occurring thing then I don't see the problem.

It's normally what is available to you outside of the main plot what makes the series so epic any who.

 

I was being somewhat melodramatic and not too serious, so I apologise for that! I am pretty sure that they will not have turned GTA into a linear point and click adventure. I hope not anyway because I love games where you can spend hundreds of hours doing absolutely bugger all plot related! It's why I love games like Fallout, Skyrim, Assassins Creed, Just Cause, Arma and of course GTA I to IV!

The first thing I normally do in every game is turn around and go the opposite way to which they made me face! The mark of a good game for me is if you can do that and find something more interesting than an invisible wall!

 

Totally agree, I always focus on the other content first off . In fact I find if I go through the plot first off, I lose interest in the rest of the games content. Watching an epic finale sort of makes going back to drop Fred's carrots off a little underwhelming lol.

For me GTA has always been a gorgeously decadent single player experience! Although the speed-boat racing was quite fun!

 

Meh, I'll wait for the PS4 version!

Now I know I run the risk of having the "It's not the ****ing same as a PC proponents" chirping in, but I really hope that the new consoles drive the adoption of the PC as a platform for R*. I miss GTA... maybe I'll buy a PS3 for a go.

Still remaining tight lipped about the possibility of a PC version but still no outright "never gonna be on PC" statement.

 

They did the exact same thing with IV. People either jumped ship to console or treated them like gods when they finally announced the PC port.
