    Hello there Bit-tech.

I have a problem with my graphics and hope you can help me.

I have an old X1950XTX, i'm getting a GTX560ti for christmas anyway, but i just want to know the problem.

I sometimes get artifacts when i boot the computer, it varies whether it happens or not. It happened before, but it stopped when i reinstalled drivers.
I reinstalled the drivers again, it didn't work, i even used driver sweeper to make sure, when i reinstalled.

Does this just sound like the card is buggered?

Is it just when you turn on the PC (i.e. before you load into windows) or are they there all the time?

Sometimes it happens when the bios screen (AI lifestyle blah blah) comes up, and then continues into windows, sometimes it doesn't at all, it varies.

And i haven't OC'd it. Someone told me these particular cards don't OC very well.

It sounds like it may be happening when there is a resolution change or when the card stops getting information then starts again, like when the screen goes black between the BIOS and Windows boots. If you change your resolution, can you make it happen?
