Right I'm replacing my 3450 with a nivida 8800 , my psu in the other rig is 400w and dose not have a pci-e power wire, I did by a dule 4 pin molex to pci-e wire but the card will not work even with all the hard drives unplugged , looking at the molex to pci-e wire it looks like it's missing a wire ( bottom row middle wire, could this by why it will not work also what wire is missing ?

try plugging it into 2 separate rails coming from the psu with the dual 4 pin molex adapter

does the fan spin ? when you turn it on as you dont need a the pci lead to get the fans to spin.

if the fan spins its a psu problem

if the fan doesnt spin the graphics card or motherboard.
