Got an email from a friend who wants to upgrade his PC's,http://www.ndc.co.uk/details.php?sid=10540¤cy=GBP#GBP graphics card, which as you can see is a Nvidia GT 120 which equates to a 9500GT, I believe Nvidia re-branded. He has less than £100 to spend, so what do you suggest guys?
Well it's really going to depend on the expansion slots he has available, the amount space inside the case (it looks quite small), and the PSU. The spec looks reasonably new so I'm guessing it has a PCI-E x16 slot, but the PSU that came with the system will likely be the bare minimum in terms of wattage and will definitely be of very low quality, which makes upgrading the GPU tricky without first upgrading the PSU.
HI, if he has a full height slot then a 5670 would be a good move, if it's half heigt then i think a 5570 is as fast as you can get. These are both low power cards so PSU should be OK.
