So I'm repairing a computer for a mate, and having just reinstalled Windows, I've run a few of the usual tests (Still got 3D mark to do), and noticed something in Dxdiag. It shows the graphics card (nVidia FX5200) as only having 64mb RAM, when all the stickers on the card say it should have 128mb.

Is this just some faulty memory chips, or is it likely to be a problem in BIOS (it was playing up, so I reset it).

    Thanks in advance :)

Or Turbocache where it uses part of the system RAM as well?

I'm sure it's not the aparture, already checked that and from what I remember it used to show up as 128mb...but if some of the chips had died out, I would have expected a fair few BSOD's by now...

Check the capacity of each ram chip (use google and punch in the writing on the chip etc) and multiply that by the number of RAM chips, if it's 64MB then there's your problem :D.
