I've started doing a bit of graphics work as a hobby and extracting scans using my mouse is a joke. So, I thought a graphics tablet would help all round.

Now, everyone immediately says Wacom to me and I accept that they may be awesome, but it costs a lot for a small workspace. I was looking at Trust and they seem to have a very nice one indeed.

Basically, has anyone used Trust graphics tablets, especially the one I am about to link you to and also, does anyone have any suggestions?

There is a reason everyone says Wacom; in comparison, all the others are unnacceptable. And this is speaking from first-hand experience. While Wacoms are definitely expensive, they are definitely worth the money.

Hmm, do you think it's worth it even though I only plan to do some basic graphics work? I would only be able to afford the smallest tablet which I would have thought would be a problem.

Anyone else with experience in tablets?

I got a lil Wacom, very precise and well made, also you can just plug it in and go (no drivers needed). TBH I dont use it that often as it takes a while to get comfy with and i've learnt to be pretty precise with me mouse. I use Photoshop and Illustrator a lot, anything from cutting stuff out of photos to illustrations and logos etc.

What exactly do you want to use it for and what software are you going to using?

You could always just invest in a nice mouse and mat if you dont have eiter :)

Or have a look on ebay :thumb:

i have a small wacom tablet (4x6) and yes they are quite expensive but i wouldnt say they are the only good tablets
i have heard good things about other ones that are less than half the price for a much bigger tablet

A smaller Wacom usually goes for around 150 USD, so probably 150 quid after VAT and such. Aiptek is supposed to be one of the better brands, but after only a year its become difficult to use properly. Wacom is definitely worth the money, even if you think you'll only use it a little; trust me, you'll want to use it more and more as you realize how nice it is :)
