20yrs? they took their sweet time; if they let this sort of 'degenerate behaviour' happen for 20-odd years, what makes them think NOW is the time to change? a bit slow on the uptake, me thinks

Well there was a UK tourist who was glassed in the throat and died last week, and there's been another death within the past couple of days, possibly drug-related. However, I don't see how locking up birds who get their norks out is going to alleviate the situation. It has to be said, though, UK lads abroad aren't exactly well behaved. But they are used to licencing hours from the middle ages here in the UK, so when they get the opportunity to go on the lash 24/7 they do it and inevitibly get lairy.
Personally I'd be pretty ****ed off if a bunch of complete ****s came to my city and acted like that on the streets. I think the Greeks' anger is justified.

Just goto any town in England (come on its mainly the English) on a weekend night you will see fights, people pissed out of their heads throwing up, men urinating in the streets. Even Herbs used to do it in his younger days (not fighting I can't fight for toffee), I'm afraid its the yob culture and the out of date drinking laws that have made the situation worse, and a lot of youngsters see a holiday for drink, drug and shag fest. Dad also believe you US citizens have a similar problem with the frat parties and visits to Mexico for the same reasons.
Memories... I'll pass on the drugs, but the other beats paddling and building sandcastles. So long as they don't frighten the horses. At least these holiday-makers aren't mugging old folk or breaking into houses to feed a hard drugs habit. And don't tell me that doesn't happen in other "civilised" countries.
