    Why doesn't he run for president, he doesn't seem like a total douche and that would be nice for a change.

    If Greenspan actually ran, I'd even consider voting Republican. Little to nil chance of that's happening though, either way. ;)

    Eh Greenspan seemed to have everything in control while he was in charge of the fed but I think part of it was just the economy of the times. His policy of cutting rates has led to a right awful sub prime fiasco which he directly shares part of the blame for. His policies of cutting rates to forestall any cooling of the economy has led investors to expect rate cuts to bail them out if the market heads south, essentially taking away some of their risk.

    Yeah, I thought so.

    It looks like a fascinating book, though - I'd love to see what he thinks about the economic events of the past twenty years.
