i remember watching the first robotech/macross on a little independant uhf channel every saturday morning when i was about 8 or 9 ... that whole zentradi wipeout episode is wholly responsible for my 10 year goth/punk/depression-y phase ...

i think thats why my fiancee doesnt understand me at all ... she watched care bears and winnie the pooh ...

Sorry, yes, Bert with an E. Couldnt remember if it was E or U, cause his voice made it sound U-ish.

Superted was orignally welsh, then dubbed into english! Ive seen eps of superted in welsh... couldnt understand a f00kin thing LOL!!

Did you know Spottie dies in the last episode? (iirc)

If you lived in the 80s you can remember most of these cartoons and their theme tunes, ;)

Ya'll listen to The Cure back in the day? They're actually one of my favorite bands. Great music. You guys need to say goodbye on a night like this, if it's the last thing we ever do. Their music is...um...just like heaven... I have to say some of my favorite music videos of the 80's include With or Without You and Where the Streets Have No Name by U2. Of course I am just a very large fan of theirs (U2). Where do I live, you say? I live in a big country...

Nah it has to be Transformers the Movie OST.

"You've got the touch! You've got the power! When all hells breaking loose you'll be right in the eye of the storm. You got heart! You got the motion! ..."

Although having said that I think the guitar riffs in Brothers in Arms by Dire Straits are beautiful and could quite happily listen to that track for hours, :)

I was never allowed to have the Mr Frosty Ice thingie - gutted! I was brought one by my brother about 3 years ago though - nice one bruv :)

I am sorry but I read about the first ten lines and thought I was going to start having palpitations. I really badly cringe when I look back at the 80's and each line was grating more than the last. :eeek:

    A few thoughts though:

Don't you open that Trapdoor cos there's something down there...

The Cult more than the cure - still listen to them now...

    By the Power of Greyskull...

    Thundercats - wow!

Can see no mention of Bagpuss though?!? Bagpuss rocked - well perhaps he did not so much 'rock' more like 'chilled'. A cat close to my own heart ;)

Sabrina - not the teenage witch - the one who sang 'Boys Boys Boys' and exposed her chest at the end of the video which was always played at nappy night at the local nightclub on a Friday.

The 80's really sucked accept for all of these god given things :)

Mr Frosty was cool..... nut some how not as good as I'd built it up to be at the time :sigh: isn't that always the way?

    Thundercats ruled.... particularly the movie

Transformers the movie was (and still is) SO cool!! It was animated by a anime house, has the voices of Orsen Wells and Leonard Nimoy and the ultimate cock rock 80's cheese sound track

Also anyone remeber STARFLEET, first aired in the UK in 1982..... this manga style japanese sci-fi puppet show was the best!!! :thumb:
