I decided to post here as someone might have experiance, rahter than a technical awnser. I'm orange, i'm texting a UK number'd O2 phone, which is roaming in cypress. I get a delivery report faster than i often get in the UK for O2, but are they actually been delivered? A friend is on holiday, and i've not heard anything from her for a long time, but when i send an SMS i get a delivery report instantly. I don't want to have to call (expensive for both of us) to find out that her phone has been nicked or that she isn't getting my txts. Anyone any experiance with this, i know O2 have a rather intresting policy regarding delivery reports (half the packet count needed to send a txt, good move, they must cost tooo much money as it is!).
I'm with O2, and i've never really had any problems with texts as for sending and recieving. I havent Roamed for a while, but I did when they first became o2, I had loads of texts from mates fine. No idea what its like now, but i can't see it being too bad. If it was me, phone orange up and ask em
