The Merc E55 with road tires and 100 pounds of ballast on the rear with all the engine mods and 2 degree toe-out drifts pretty good.

GT4 physics aren't good enough to drift like the real thing IMO.

Go play Project Gotham Racing 2...drifting in GT4 is possible but not near as good. If the car selection and ability to tweak settings/modify the cars wasn't a part of GT4, PGR2 is a better game imo.

I would get some GT4 drifting screen captures but my ATI TV card is missing a capacitor as of the Zalman heatsink install. grrrgrrr. CPU temps are 40 degrees cooler though :thumb: :thumb:

PGR2 is MSR with better graphics. i've played MSR to the death and the physics aren't good enough to allow proper drifting. go and look at the link i posted and then tell me you can't drift on GT4. and we're not talking about how well you can drift...

    lmao @ PGR2.
Physics are nothing compared to GT4.
If you think you can't drift in GT4, then you've got racing tyres on.

Balls to comfort tyres - I can drift my Escudo on qualifying slicks...Once they turn red ;)

Got a replay saved of the end of the second lap of La Sarthe II - the corners before the final chicanes - drifted all the way through :D

GT4 is good but I wasn't nearly as impressed as I thought I'd be. I got a pretty good drift going in an M3 GTR at the high speed corner after the long strait (~145) on the Ring before spinning into the wall past the sand trap. If you've got enough power use Medium race tires.

Having just played PGR2 again, I'd like to retract my previous statement. I've tried some tweaking of suspension settings on a '97 Supra RZ and hit on the perfect drift setup.

Having enough power the break the rear tires loose at 145 in 6th gear helps a lot, too.

This isn't to do with drifting but..anybody know how to find the Dodge Intrepid R/T or Police Package? They're both listed in the .pdf from the GT4 homepage. I'm 84% done at the moment.

I don't understand why they put a Honda Minivan in the game..
