I'll probably get it, depending on how well the Xbox handles the game. I've already got it on PS2 and it's bloody awful. I can't play it because I can't see what's going on half of the time.

If the Xbox version runs smoothly and looks good then I might get that because it's the type of game I like to play in front of a big screen. If it's not up to much then I'll get the PC version for some high-def goodness :)

not really and the controlls are different on pc to a consol so the gamepad for pc would feel weird n e way. If n e thing I only like the pc versions "because" of the controls

GTA:SA.. yeah, been waiting tooooooo long for this.

Consoles are for Fighting, Racing and Platforms. 1st/3rd Person Shooting games on a PC, end of story. :p

Hopefully it dosent suffer from the same problem the last 2 games did, with the textures taking a while to load if Vsync is disabled. I hit countless poles because i had no idea they where there :(

I couldn't resist though, when I saw the PS2 version on the shelves I had to have it :)

A waste of money really. I only played it for a few hours.

I too bought it when it came out for the PS2. Played fine, although I did encounter the random "hidden" pole and cars every so often. And it might just be me, but on the PS2 release, everything just looked ORANGE! :sigh:

I'll be getting it for the PC.

i tried the ps2 version and while it was fun to rack up over 2000 miles on a bmx bike, i didnt do much else. console controllers just dont cut it for the walking, shooting bits of the GTA series. the first one i played was #3 on PC - and i was hooked immediately.

the main reason i want the PC version - 1280x768 widescreen goodness. as for framerate, 30fps is PERFECT for the GTA series. any more and it looks too real - it needs the gritty, almost film noire quality. should look like it was actually filmed, not videotaped.

i like a trackball/keyboard/gamepad setup for these games too. regular FPS setup for the foot parts, and the gamepad sitting right in front of my keyboard for easy access when i gotta jack a ride. works pretty good, as long as you dont drop the gamepad in the dark. think i may buy a ps2 usb adaptor for this one though - the axis pad is getting pretty beat up after nfsu2 and thug2 (been a rough year for gamepads)

another thing - mp3 channel. i dont know if i will like the announcer and commercials though - i have a few radio 1 shows on mp3 that i liked to pop in when playing vice city - it might lose something with an announcer talking over grooverider's witty football banter and stuff ....
