No, it's way too expensive for the performance as it's some of the last stock available. If you want to spend that kind of money, get a 5850 or wait a bit as the GTX 200's have been discontinued.
Is kind off on the expensive side...would also suggest going the HD 5850 route, the Asus EAH5850 which has a 3 year warranty and lets you increase voltage to gain good overclock... ________ VAPORIZER REVIEW
Wait until next month when you're about to order everything and then choose a card. Fermi's should have shaken the market up by then.
The card is very good but at that price not as good as a 5850 which is faster cooler and uses less energy. Friday is 400 series paper launch and the 6th of April is when the stock hits the shop. Hopefully the 5000 will drop in price but maybe the 400 will not have the stock available to force ATi to drop their prices. Time will tell! Also I think the dollar is reasonably strong against teh pound which has slightly inflated prices.
Best guess at present is GTX470 @ £250 and GTX480@ £350 So any 2 series cards in the £200 - £400 price range will fall quickly to clear stocks
