EDIT http://forums.bit-tech.net/showpost.php?p=2261135&postcount=56 Check this link to the other thread where Wuyanxu has post some similar results. Source http://www.rage3d.com/board/showthread.php?t=33959151&page=15 Looks promising, but don't think SLI can scale that well. Simon
If its fake its certainly well thought through, u can see where they have the SLI compatibility issues with some games. ie L4D.
looks great, especially for Battleforge, which is a Dx11 game. can't wait for Bit-tech's benchmark reviews.
why not? looks like realistic results to me. the ATi range are still better price to performance ratio, so this whole nvidia 4xx hype really dont bother me.
If the GTX 480 card scale as well as these benchmarks in SLI then I will be ordering 2. (As long as the price is right.) Hopefully be able to play Crysis at 4360x1600 smoothly. I think RRP should be about £350-£400. Simon Some games in SLI are gaining nearly 100% more FPS compared to 1 card. Which I can't really see myself. But I would love to be proven wrong. Simon
More money than sense mate. :/ On-topic: Still awaiting Bit-Techs review on this. These seem fairly genuine though.
What is interesting though, is that it's 2pm now and nowhere on the internet can you see the big Nvidia releases, no photos, no articles, no prices even - nothing. That is not how I expected the day that allegedly will change the GPU market would look like. Disappointed.
We tested DoW II (RTS game, DX10), Dirt 2 (Sim game, DX11), BF:BC2 (FPS DX11), Crysis (VH settings, original not warhead, everyone asks for Crysis results, DX10), and STALKER CoP (FPS, DX11 etc). We didn't have time to investigate Metro 2033 enough to generate a good manual play through AND check it was consistent. Plus, Joe thought it was **** and people would probably not be playing it. Nobody really plays Res 5, Hawx, Batman and certainly no one plays Far Cry 2 now, so we didn't bother and we only had a single copy of Just Cause 2 which Joe was using for review.
how about the Heaven benchmark? i know it's a benchmark, but it's the only one with heavy tessellation that's able to show which card can handle tessellation in the results.
Well you are testing the main games that everyone wants to see results for! Hopefully the result will be close to the ones posted, which will mean Fermi is going to be good. Simon
We'll cover it in the architecture analysis probably, but it's nothing to do with anything real-world and gaming.
Bindibadgi, Do you know if you can mix and match Landscape and portrait in a triple monitor set up on the Fermi? As we know eyefinity does not allow me to do this. I did also read somewhere that you will need SLI to run a triple monitor set up. My set up is 20" portrait,30" Landscape 20" portrait. Total res 4360x1600. Thanks, Simon.
Would have been nice to see Batman, Metro 2033 and Farcry 2 but aw well . Same with AVP... see a DX11 vs DX11... but that may have taken too long
i am bored with Fermi and AMDs offering so what the hell is the next gpu in the pipeline from them both .jj7
I'll be honest. After dropping a ton of cash on 5870's I'm a bit dubious about tonight when the review comes out, as to whether they'll get trounced or not. I'm flying the red flag and hoping not
