a friend of mine wants to use a 360 rad in a watercooling loop, he's got a 930 @ 4Ghz max temps are around 80 degrees C on the hottest core, he also wants to connect a single gtx 480 into the loop, do you guys think that one 360 would be enough to cool both reasonably well?

A good 360 rad should do both components without any problems. I'm running two heavily overclcocked GTX 580's off a single 360 rad and I haven't ever seen the temps hit 60 (or even close) degress. And those 580's get very hot when overclocked.
