Hi there, I've recently upgraded from a GTX 770 to a 1070 so I decided to replace the GTX 480 (works fine btw) in another computer with the 770. As far as I could tell, the PC was booting up but there was just nothing being displayed. I plugged in a second GPU just so I could see what was going on (8400gs) and the 770 just doesn't show up in device manager.

The computer in question is a Dell XPS 710:
    • QX6700 @ 3.2Ghz
    • 4GB DDR2 RAM
    • 750W PSU
    I think the PCI-e slots are v1.
Chip set is NVIDIA nForce 4, SB: nForce 570 SLI.

I'm absolutely stumped by this so I'm hoping someone might be able to shed some light, thanks for your time.

Is the bios up to date on the motherboard? If not try that first.
