I purchased a GTX 960 2GB from eBay as it was the best GPU I could find for under £100 due to the current GPU situation. Anyway when it arrived the metal bracket was bent and wouldn't slot into my PC. The guy had packed it only in a jiffy bag! So it had obviously taken a bashing during postage.

I tried to fix it gently by slowly straightening it out with pliers and its straightened to the point where it fits and I can get the bottom screw in and not the top and it works fine once it's in BUT every once in a while when I go to switch on my PC there's no picture. I open my PC again reseat the GPU sometimes I need to do this several times. It seems it needs to be in just right and only then it will work.

The issue is it seems to be loosening itself every few sometimes hours sometimes days and I need to open my PC and reseat it several times to get output.

Any tips and advise on how I can solve this?

Picture of the card or maybe the model number.

Someone might have a dead card with a suitable replacement bracket.

The bracket doesn't look too bad now. I would completely dismantle it and get the bracket off the card to straighten. The at least redo the thermal paste but maybe also do the thermal pads. you'd be without it for a few days as you'd need to open it to get the pad thickness to order them, but that's not a totally necessary step.
