Hmmmm, will it fit? Please let me know only it you're sure as I'd like to pull the trigger if it does...

My HDD drive bays are mostly populated, though I do have a Dremel. Would prefer not to use it though!

It will fit. Although you will have to move the HDD down near the bottom or the top.
EDIT: just checked, There is about 11 inches of space.

should fit, my mate has a 4870x2, which is same size, if not longer, as all the latest long cards.

It will fit not sure on airflow you may need to run those fans pretty hard when gaming.

Very tight fit, couldn't definatively state yes or no.

However, I had to fit a GTX275 with an AC Accelero xtreme cooler into an Antec 300 a year or so ago and needed to dremel out part off the HDD caddy to shoe horn it in. The total length of that beast was 11.4"

Thanks folks. I'm sure I can shoehorn it in, temps won't be a problem but noise might. BUT, now I'm seeing HD5870's for £200 I may just go for that instead. I know I'll not get quite the same benchmarks, however for gaming at 1900x1200 I think I'll be fine, with less noise too?

You can get 570GTX's for 270 ish that would eat the 5870 for breakfast.
Well worth the day's work IMO.

A 5870 won't struggle, it all come down to how much performance you wan't v cost though.

    Wont be less noise.
From Overclock3d's video review on the GTX580 doesn't make much noise.

Correct, It has a vapor chamber cooler like the Toxic cards. Works very well indeed.

Was stated that even when overclocked the GTX580 makes less noise than a HD6950/70 at stock speeds.
