So i RMA'd my GTX670 phantom, and they told me they found a problem and would replace the card, so i got a new card today put it in, and straight away i got a blank red screen, forcing me to restart the computer using the reset button, once it booted up again i decided to run unigine heaven, but it cant get through the full thing without giving me an error message d3d11 AppWindow::do swap(): device removed, also it seems noiser this time, with my last card when i ran heaven it didnt seem to be as loud.... could be just me though but still, what you think is the best thing to do? i would RMA again but i want to be 100% sure its a hardware problem, and i think il probably ask them to credit my account so i can buy a different card, these problems are getting boring
Firstly, sorry if I have any grammatical / whatever errors as English is my second language. Have you tried to monitor temps under Ungine Heaven with GPU-Z for example? Have you checked that this 'new' VGA is not your older one (with whatever they have done to it)? Could you dissasemble the heatsink without voiding the warranty (in case the sample the have sended you, the TIM -thermal compound- has not so well applied)? Another thing that comes up to my mind is about BIOS of the VGA, although the only problem I've read so far was with the Gigabyte 670 Windforce. Check this out if there are another similar cases about BIOS problems. Hope my suggestions help!
it does look like a new card, and its a different serial number, and also im not able to try it in another system but i had another card in my pc while mine was away and i had no problems at all.
temps maxed out at 82 on uingine, and it ran the full way through this time.. wierd. Still got a red screen this morning thought when i turned it on
