    Hey all
    Does anyone know how to use this VFD with a PIC16F877A? Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Yeah, I got the datasheet. I had it faxed to me. After reading it a few times it kind of reminds me of the Hitachi HD44.... controller. I just need to figure out the timing. I am going to first try with a PIC 16F84A. I will post my findings.

    shouldn't be any problems in migrating between the 16F877A and the 16F84A as timing goes, all take same time for each instruction, can be run of the same speed oscillator.
