I had a meeting with Silverstone the other day and in the room was a Voodoo PC Omen case: http://www.techpowerup.com/img/08-06-10/voodoo_omen1.jpg It's ****ing stonkingly gorgeous in the flesh. I mean, the design is literally jaw droppingly sexy inside and out. Only 30 were made by Silverstone for HP and SS kept three in their office. Unfortunately HP bought the entire rights to sell the case, but even if SS did want to sell it, how much do you think it would cost us to buy? Answer in a post(card) below.
More than the Thermaltake (?) level 10, I'd say. You know, the compartmentalised one that was a bit "lean-y"
You pay a bit extra for 'Supporting up to four graphics processing units and sporting advanced thermal engineering, the modern-styled Voodoo Omen blends art and technology inside and out. The Omen features integrated copper liquid cooling pipes and a built-in, fully functional LCD auxiliary screen. Its advanced thermal engineering with liquid cooling makes it run quietly, even when performing at high levels.'
450 to 500 GBP is what I'd guess (and hope). No fancy tooling involved, but the slabs are pretty thick, so material cost goes up. Would need a look at the insides to judge properly.
Such a limited production run would push prices up quite alot even though from the looks of it it isnt that complicated a case to produce. HP would obviously pay significantly less than us individuals, my guess is £1149.99
its still my favourite case, pure simple design that is beautiful. However i guess i would also fall into the minimalistic category of design, as it seems to keep popping up in my work.
£700-1000 definately. it is gorgeous though isnt it? kinda like Megan Fox, you know you could never afford it, but its nice to know its out there.
I haven't had a guess yet... I reckon at least £600, I don't think it'll breach £800 though, that's just too much. I really would like one though.
