It was a good one. The light cluster looks very Italian so a bit of a red herring.

Surely you mean a red Ferrari? Yeah, my initial though was Italian too.

Im at work so not looking at cars, but the pipes on the current guess looks like something Caterham’esq. What’s that possibly American think that looks a bit like a Caterham?

Edit: I was thinking about the Donkervoort, so not American at all.

 

Was just a stab in the dark, not found anything with a side pipe that looks like that.

 

That was my best guess but couldn't find any that matched.

 

Jag D-Type or XK SS?

 

If that was a guess, it was inspired! XK SS looks right to me.

 

XKSS. Beautiful car. I used to hang around one in the Heritage Museum when I worked at Browns Lane, wishing I could take it home.

 

D-Type was a guess but didn't look quite right. Google luckily had a couple of XKSS in my search.

 

Well that was easier than I expected it to be; De Tomaso Guarà.
