Lets see how many of you can get this one on the button... After LegoManUK[-_-] asked how much bandwith the site uses in a month, lets see how many of you guess the right figure for the amount of data that bit-tech.net transfers in a month, or more precicely, the month of December 2001.
10!?! You nuts? any good hardware/mod site thats been up for a year or more does around 65+ gigs a month or more depending on the ammount of pictures they take.
Went with ten gigs, I have no idea really, but I remember reading once that having more than like 15 gigs of traffic is like a dedicated file server or something, but I dunno.
i think its 85 too cus BiT is very well known and these boards must use quite a lot of bandwidth too!
im sure i can remember RTT telling me sumthin about it being 85 gigs, it may have been 65 tho, but i went with 85 anyway
I dunno, but i think only a place with mega files (fileplanet) would use 85 gigs. Thats alot of traffic for ONE month. i dont think Bit is getting a super amount of trafic as what they got a month or 2 ago. it seemed that they dont put out alot of articles to get alot of traffic.
but the transfer may not be different file, might just be a whole bunch of people checking out the how-to color your fans article.
