The weapons you are missing is mostly down to funds, though some of the armour materials are hard to come by and expensive to buy these days.

I'll be more than happy to help you get Masters on those 2 NF missions if it helps ;)

Hmm, I really ought to go back to playing again to get a few more points than 11 in my Hall. I've still sunk more time in to Guild Wars than any other game I've played, I think I'm only up to about 1,400 hours though. If anyone is planning on organising a few mission groups then drop me a note as I have a little bit of practice with an elementalist (1,000 hours or so).

Guild Wars 2 does look to be getting better and better though, I'm definitely looking forwards to it and reckon another collector's edition might be in the offing.

yeah was kind of bummed they added oppressor weapons to the hom.. I had already got the full set of tormented around a year before.. the quests they added were pretty fun though

made a lot selling oppressor weapons when they first came out.. you gotta remember that's 5 years of game play there with on off sometimes 2 years.. I made quite a bit as a farmer

never could get into power trading.. I don't get how you can spend your game time sitting in kamadan or lions arch and spam sell your goods xD

I should get gwamm.. might as well, so close

actually anyone know if there's more quests added beyond the part where gwen gets married.. been so long since played

Yeah that would be helpful :p can you pm me your toon name and i'll add you to my friends list.
I'm gaining funds etc by farming the sunspear rank and clearing zones in HM with a great 7heroes build.
I also have been playing on and off ever since the beta of GuildWars 1 and and we were pretty hardcore back in the day, and our guild (which we still have) was lucky enough to play the devs in a GVG match at an i-series many many moons ago. That same event we were set a task to asscend a toon in less then 24hours, we did it in 9h 1min :clap:and won loads of cool ncsoft stuff.
My biggest downfall is i only really spent my time with one toon a monk therefore never got into the soloing etc expect for a 55hp till they nerfed that :s

If anyone here wants me and a mate still have that small Guildwars guild that your all welcome to join and as i said its been going since the beta of GW1! I have recently created a new website with forums on where we keep track of missions/outings (like the beyond guildwars stuff) and we use something called gwbbcode on there which allows us to link builds on our forums to.
The long term goal is to get a small laid back guild/community together ready to jump into GW2
So if anyone wants come join at www.diyguild.org ;)

Oh yeah, def get GWAMM if you are close enough! Have played on and off over 5 years myself and still miles away or so it seems but plodding along anway, lol

As for new quests after Hearts of the North, there is the quest chain Winds of Change which is all part of Guildwars Beyond. Just pop over to Kaineng and speak to Initiate Zei Ri, and some of those quests are hard, even by factions standards.

Being mostly a PvE player I really hope they don't compromise the races too much for the sake of PvP balance. IMO a real RPG (at least a solo one) would give the larger races (Charr & Norn) a large strength advantage while the Asura might have special devices and the Sylvari might have a greater affinity for certain magics. If they make them all the same strength etc. I'll be very disappointed.

I know how you feel. I got Legendary Survivor before that changed (now counts between deaths) & LDoA before the new quests. The changes cheapened those accomplishments - though, from what I hear, a lot of MMOs do that. (Come to think of it I think I finished (or almost finished) Prophecies before the normal mode / hard mode split).

They really really really need an auction house or something better than Spamadan.

The one potentially large downside of GW2 for me is that I play for escapism & relaxation (my few forays into PvP reminded me too much of driving in rush hour traffic with idiots. - no offence intended to those of you into PvP) and a part of what I really appreciate about GW is the instancing. It looks like that's gone in GW2.

F.Y.I.: My H.O.M. I'm not sure if I'll get it too much fuller - I'm kind of bored now - perhaps it's time for a break.

45/50 and you are thinking of stopping? Are you mad, lol, I have only 30/50 and am still pushing on as far as I can go, it may be slow going at times but then GWAMM is on a whole new level, it's not just a title or accomplishment it's way beyond that.

The one game besides BF3, that I'm really looking forward to.

Played this and SWTOR as Eurogamer, and oh my, this game realy is amazing, even in the alpha stage it feels so polished.

I regret standing in line for 2hours to play SWTOR, when I could of lined up twice for this. SWTOR is nothing in comparision to GW2, I was so hyped for SWTOR aswell, but it's just World of Warcraft with a Star Wars theme.

I picked up GW1 just to go through the story and try my luck at getting some HoM stuff. Only on 9 points so far though.

The first 30 points are typically the easiest to reach, tho does take some time and gets increasingly more time consuming, tho there are guides on the guildwars wiki on how best to approach things.

If you get stuck tho, HG will no doubt be happy to help you out as will I (Lady Elyssa in GW).

I think you have my answer there. Honestly I can see myself getting to about 48 but even at that it amounts to a lot of grinding. One of the nice things about GW is that the main portion of the game requires very little grinding (and the rewards for grinding aren't that great). However, maxing that many titles (I've got almost everything else in the hall) is best done by grinding - no joy in that.

I can certainly appreciate that grinding doesn't make for a fun experience, tho I have found that breaking that grind down in to smaller bite sized achievements makes it more fun and interesting.

I need another 40k Vanguard points to max that title so thats 40 repeat quests, but doing 5-10 at a time and then going off to do the WiK reward quests or a HM Dungeon, etc breaks it up and makes the grinding seem easier.

yeah that's what I said.. and when they were talking about potions- could see where it was headed =E

you see the asura warrior video.. I mean what the heck! a little asura is not going to be inflicting criticals on ankles.. I'm not going to complain though until I see the beta- it might be awesome.. most who played the demo seemed to like it

make more sense if the asura warrior used his golem to fight- when that went down he was a squishy.. but they had them in gw1 in arachnis haunt remember- used them for fodder on the blobs

This guy in my alliance farmed for the Polar Bear every event for like 4 years and finally got it this past one. And yea, I didn't have a job over Xmas so I just farmed like an asian (no offense to anyone of that ethnicity) for the entire event.

Yea the first 30 points are easy as hell to reach, even the first 35/37 if you have lots of bank. Obby armor, Vabbi and mini pets are going to consume the hell out of your money. Or just do non stop FoW/UW as a terra and farm the mats that way. Worked for me.

Most annoying part of HoM is definitely the PvP title if you dont have cash to blow on Zkeys....

I'll look for you guys next time I'm on.. just gonna be grinding though- cartographer =E not looking forward to that

yeah I'd join hg but I like my cape.. hope they fix that in gw2 where you can design and wear your own cape.. sometimes you like the clan- like coils clan is awesome.. did some runs with them but their cape looks too formal.. I like the ripped up cape- kind of represents.. now if the brown boots worked with half my characters =p

I like that idea (it makes me think of "Master Blaster" from "Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome") but that might better fit the Engineer profile. Perhaps a power-suit or some kind of charged weapons would fit? Maybe give the Sylvari a massive self-heal - though I'm not sure how humans would keep up to any of that.

Honestly I'd like to see it be a major accomplishment for a single human warrior to defeat a Norn or Charr warrior in one on one armed combat (as the game says it should be). Add some kind of system of honour points where different race/class combos are rated for overall strength and honour points are awarded appropriately (this could even replace hard mode). In PvP This would effectively mean different victory conditions depending on the opponent you face - not simple victory but rather something like how long the battle lasts or how much damage you do or take before your expected victory or defeat (with bonus points for the winner of an upset). e.i.: If you want more honour you play a harder race/class combo. Honour could also lead to better prices from merchants etc.

If any of you need mini-pets I have a few extra I might be able to sell for a pretty reasonable price - (PM me your in game name & I'll contact you when I'm on next)

I like that idea. Here's a variation: make the colours and insignia on the cape the same for the entire guild but let each character choose their own cape shape/cut.

IIRC GW originally had tabards with guild insignias rather than capes (though they looked a too much like bibs and hid the chest armour).

Lucky for me a friend donated me 20 minis so I could get those points quite easily.

Money is proving troublesome though, I can't aford any of the armours that I am able to get at the moment.
Though I guess, I really should complete the campains first!

Stuck in Factions on Eternal Grove mission, because I just can't for the life of me keep all 12 alive for the bonus, so I can get that title.

On the subject or capes, they have said they are doing away with things like that for GW2, since you can be in multiple guilds now, so you'll just be flying the tag/name.

Although in the WvWvW PvP, your guild can fly its colours on a flag that will be on the keeps.
